Import a VPN Subscription and Connect
From account setup to connection checks. Follow the steps below, skipping any you have already completed.
This page covers the essential steps for your first connection. For details on server routing, advanced split tunneling, and routine maintenance, see the Complete Guide. If you encounter an error, visit the Help Center to troubleshoot by symptom.
Create an Account and Save Your Credentials
Start by opening the account creation page in the user dashboard. VPNFresh doesn’t require an email address; create an account with a username and password. Fill in the fields and submit, then check whether the page confirms account creation, opens the dashboard, or asks you to sign in. If you see a validation message, update the relevant field as instructed. Don’t submit repeatedly before confirming the result.
You’ll need your username and password to access the dashboard, get your subscription, and manage orders. Save them in a trusted password manager before continuing rather than relying on your browser’s temporary memory. If you already have an account, use “Sign in” in the site navigation. There’s no need to create another account just to set up a device, and orders and subscriptions should not be mixed across accounts.
Once you’re in the dashboard, confirm that you’re signed into the right account before choosing a plan. You can explore the overview, plans, and downloads before importing a client: the overview shows account and subscription details, the plans section lets you choose a data allowance, and downloads provides clients for each platform. Complete the remaining steps in the same account.
Choose a Plan and Review Your Order
Once your account is ready, open the plans section in the user dashboard. Decide whether you need ongoing service or prefer to use data as needed. Monthly plans include 60GB for ¥9.9/month, 250GB for ¥18/month, and 500GB for ¥28/month; data resets monthly on the activation date. Data packages are ¥158/300GB, ¥358/1000GB, and ¥658/3000GB. They remain valid until used and never expire. For a full comparison, see Plan Pricing, then return to the dashboard to choose a plan.
Don’t choose a data allowance based only on the number of devices. VPNFresh allows unlimited simultaneous connections, but your actual data needs depend on how you use the service. Browsing, file transfers, and streaming use different amounts of data, so consider your usage across all your devices. If you upgrade a monthly plan mid-cycle, the price difference is prorated for the remaining days. Check the exact order details in the dashboard.
After selecting a plan, check the plan name, amount, and billing method in your order. Make sure you haven’t confused a monthly plan with a data package, then follow the payment page instructions. VPNFresh accepts Alipay, WeChat Pay, and USDT. After paying, return to the dashboard and check your order and plan status. If the status hasn’t updated, first confirm the payment and that you’re signed into the right account; don’t pay again while waiting. For billing and refund questions, see the Help Center. This service offers a 60-day no-questions-asked refund.
Get Your Subscription from Account Overview
After confirming your plan status, open Account Overview in the user dashboard and look for the subscription options. The subscription link provides server configuration for your client; it isn’t a regular webpage or an installer. If the dashboard offers an import button for your client, use it. Otherwise, copy the subscription link and paste it into your client.
Keep the entire link when you copy it. Don’t remove parameters after the question mark or change the domain, spaces, or characters. Pasting the link into a chat to transfer it can truncate or expose it; copy and import it directly on your own device instead. Treat your subscription link like account credentials. Don’t post it publicly or give it to an unfamiliar online conversion tool.
Before importing, distinguish between the two steps: “Get Subscription” in the dashboard provides the configuration, while “Add Subscription” in the client receives it. Copying the link doesn’t connect you. Once the server list appears, select a configuration and start the connection. If you haven’t installed a client yet, leave the overview open and follow the next section to download one. You can return for your subscription after installation.
Import a Client for Your Platform
Download all clients from the user dashboard. This page doesn’t provide installers or direct subscription links. Clients for Windows, macOS, Android, and Linux are available after signing in; the iOS download requires an active plan. You’ll also need to sign in to get your subscription. Downloading a client and having an active subscription are separate steps, so check both.
If available, use the client provided in the dashboard’s download section and choose the matching subscription option described alongside it. If you already have another client installed, first check whether the dashboard supports importing into it. Don’t mix configuration formats. The menu names below are common examples; actual labels may vary by client.
Windows: Import a Remote Subscription
Select the Windows client in the dashboard’s download section, install it, and open it. Find the subscription, configuration management, or remote configuration section. If the dashboard supports one-click import, click it, allow your browser to open the corresponding app, then confirm the new configuration in the client. To import manually, choose the option to add a link, paste the full subscription link, enter a name you’ll recognize, and save. Then update or download the configuration.
When the server list appears, select the configuration you just imported, then choose a server. If the client requires you to enable a system proxy or connection toggle, follow its instructions. Don’t run multiple clients that change proxy settings at the same time, as your browser may be using different settings from the ones shown in the current window. Leave advanced rules unchanged for now, then follow the verification steps below.
macOS: Make Sure the Configuration Is Selected
Get the macOS client from the dashboard and install it using the instructions in the download section. Open the app and find configuration management in the window or menu bar. Add your subscription using the link or remote configuration option. If one-click import from your browser has already opened the app, check that the new configuration and server list appear in the client. Simply opening the app doesn’t mean the import succeeded.
Select the new configuration, update the server list, and connect. Depending on how the client works, macOS may ask for permission to use a proxy, network extension, or VPN configuration. Confirm that the request comes from the app you just installed, then follow the prompts. If the app won’t open or permission doesn’t take effect, check the download instructions and Help Center. Don’t disable system security protections just to continue the installation. Once the import succeeds, verify your exit information.
Android: Import and Allow the Connection
Sign in to the dashboard, download the Android client from the download section, install it as prompted, and open it. Go to the configuration or subscription page, choose the option to add a link, paste and save your subscription, then update the configuration. If you import from a dashboard button, make sure the client you plan to use is the one receiving the link, not another similar app on your device.
When the server list appears, enable the configuration and choose a server. The first time you connect, Android may ask you to allow a VPN connection. Check the app name and confirm. Return to the client to check the connection status, then test the app you want to use. If the connection often drops in the background, see Android Background Operation and Battery Settings. For your first setup, verify the connection before changing multiple battery or network settings.
iOS: Get the Client and Add a Configuration
First, confirm that your plan is active in the dashboard, then open the iOS link in the download section. Follow the dashboard instructions to get the client from the App Store. If you can’t access the download link, check your account and plan status. Don’t use configuration profiles from unknown sources. Once the client is ready, return to Account Overview and use the import option for that client, or add the subscription link in the app.
After updating your subscription, select a configuration and server, then connect as prompted by the app. If iOS asks to add a VPN configuration, check the app’s source and approve the request. Return to the app and confirm that the connection is active. The status bar indicator is only a reference; open the website you want to use to verify access. For more detailed steps, see iOS VPN Setup: From Getting the Client to Verifying Your Connection.
Linux: Follow the Download Instructions to Import
For Linux, get the client from the dashboard’s download section. Read the installation and startup instructions for your distribution, then choose a subscription format supported by the dashboard. In a graphical client, paste the link in the subscription or remote configuration section, update it, and enable it. If the instructions describe another method, follow those instead. Don’t use menu paths from other platforms or run commands without checking them first.
After importing, check the client’s connection status and confirm that your target app is using the current proxy configuration. Desktop environments and apps may handle system proxy settings differently, so access in a browser doesn’t mean every program uses the same settings. Test the apps you plan to use first. Save advanced routing and environment setup for the Advanced Usage guide.
Connect and Verify Your Exit
Once the configuration is imported, choose a server and connect. Start with a region that suits the service you want to access. If you’re unsure, choose a server that’s convenient for testing, then adjust after confirming it works. The server region, app permissions, and the target service’s own regional rules all affect access. A connected status in the client doesn’t guarantee every app can reach its services.
Open IP Check to see the exit information reported for your current request, then visit the website or app you want to use. If possible, compare the results before and after connecting, but keep in mind that IP check tools and services may identify regions differently. If the tool can’t return information, follow its instructions. Don’t conclude that the entire connection is down based on a single failed check.
If the client says it’s connected but nothing changes in your browser, check that the configuration you just imported is enabled, a server is selected, and the system proxy or connection toggle is on. Close any other similar clients and test again, then reopen the app you’re trying to use. If the browser works but another app doesn’t, note which app is affected and any error message. Don’t delete every configuration and reinstall right away.
If your subscription won’t update, return to Account Overview to check your plan status and link source. Copy the full subscription link again and retry. If it updates but won’t connect, try another server to see whether the issue is with the current server or your device settings. For persistent errors, visit the Help Center and look under “Connection and Troubleshooting” or “Speed and Servers.” If you need support through a ticket, include your platform, client, and the error you’re seeing. Don’t include your password or full subscription link.
After verification, everyday use is usually as simple as opening the client, selecting a configuration, and connecting. To add a device later, sign in to the dashboard with the same account and repeat the download and import steps for its platform. Unlimited devices can be connected at the same time. To check data usage or plan status, or get your subscription again, return to Account Overview. For details on configuration updates, renewals, and advanced routing, see the Complete Guide.
